Enjoy the fun and freedom of a bike ride through the streets of Barcelona to discover all her famous sights and monuments.
This is the most fun way to see the sights and learn the history of Barcelona. Your half day bike tour will take you where the bus tours can’t go and you will see far more in less time then with any walking tour. You will be given a comfortable and easy to ride bike and the route journey is conducted at a nice, relaxed pace with plenty of stops to take photos and hear the fascinating history and stories of Barcelona.
Among the many highlights you will see the impressive gothic La Cathedral which dates from the 11th century and La Sagrada Familia, arguably the most famous site of Barcelona. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, original construction was started in 1882 and he worked on the church until his death in 1926. Discover the Plaça del Rei, a wholly preserved medieval courtyard of the Royal Palace where Ferdinand and Isabella are supposed to have received Columbus on his return from the New World and also the Plaça Sant Jaume which is situated at the centre of the original Roman settlement of Barcino. This plaza is home to the Ajuntament, (City Hall) and the Palau de la Generalitat (seat of the Catalan regional government).
You will also see the Roman Walls, Rambla del Raval, Vila Olímpica, Barceloneta beach, Port Vell, Ciutadella Park and more! A short respite is enjoyed at an outdoor beach bar where you can mingle with your fellow bikers or take a refreshing swim in the Mediterranean.
